Community Training
RTS Facilitator Training
Center for Restorative Programs hosts an annual facilitator training for ReThinking Substances. ReThinking Substances is a diversion program for youth who are cited or charged with a minor in possession of alcohol, tobacco (including vaping), or marijuana. Facilitators lead a process where youth take responsibility for their actions, recognize the impact of their actions, and work to repair the harm caused. Facilitators are compensated for each circle that they facilitate.
Upcoming Training Dates: Spring 2023: Friday, May 12 & Saturday, May 13

Mediation Training
Regularly, we conduct training for community members who are interested in becoming volunteer mediators for our programs. This two-day hands-on training includes the basic tenets of mediation, personal skills for dealing with conflict, and hands-on mediation practice.
We schedule trainings based on the amount of community interest. If you would like to be trained or if you have any questions for us, contact us at (719) 589-5255.
Topical Workshops, facilitated conversations, and trainings are held on an ad hoc basis.
